Lifeboat Mode

If LockPad vanished tomorrow, your coin would keep trading.

"Here for decades" shouldn't depend on us staying around. LockPad coins live on public protocols, not on our servers. This page lists exactly what keeps working without us, what stops, where you'd have to wait, and the tools to check and run it yourself.

Keeps working without LockPad

  • โœ“ Every coin keeps trading: the pools live on Meteora (Solana) and Uniswap v4 with LockPad's hook (Base, Ethereum, BNB Chain and Robinhood Chain), not on LockPad's servers.
  • โœ“ Liquidity stays locked forever: there's no code path, ours or anyone's, that removes it.
  • โœ“ EVM chains: creators of regular coins keep getting 75% of the trading fee (1.125% of every trade; LockPad's hook collects the full 1.5% with no protocol cut). Anyone can call distribute(token) at any time, and it pays the creator wallet fixed at launch. Reward coins: the hook pays the coin's reward splitter, and anyone can then call release() to pay the creator's 1/3 (25% of the fee, 0.375% of every trade; holders get 50%).
  • โœ“ Solana coins launched with the Lifeboat program: if LockPad's automatic payouts stop for 7 days, anyone can trigger a claim that pays the creator's share straight to the payout wallet fixed at launch (as wrapped SOL). Solana coins launched before it depend on LockPad's router for creator fees; each coin's entry in the manifest says which one it is.
  • โœ“ Every promise stays checkable: this manifest, the CLI and the static lifeboat app read the chain directly.

Stops if LockPad stops

  • โ€“ LockPad's website, explore pages, charts and creator dashboard.
  • โ€“ New launches.
  • โ€“ $LOCKY and $LOCKPAD buybacks and burns, and the 10% platform fee: those are LockPad's own share, run by our automation. They don't affect creators' or holders' coins.
  • โ€“ Automatic fee payouts on a schedule. On EVM anyone can still trigger them by hand at any time; on Solana coins launched with the Lifeboat program, anyone can trigger the backup switch after 7 days without a payout.
  • โ€“ Reward-coin holder airdrops. On EVM, holders' money that isn't collected for 7 days can be used by anyone to buy and burn that coin. On Solana the holders' share waits in Meteora (or the Lifeboat record) and isn't paid out without LockPad.

Your lifeboat kit

1. The manifestOne JSON file (lockpad-lifeboat/1) listing every LockPad coin: addresses, frozen fee split, venue, who can upgrade it, the read-only checks and the exact contract calls that keep it running. It carries its own sha256 hash so you can tell if it was changed.Download
2. Pinned copies on IPFSNo snapshot pinned yet. Snapshots are pinned daily once IPFS pinning is switched on.pending
3. The offline appA single HTML file with no server and no dependencies. Open it from your own disk or any IPFS gateway, point it at a manifest and your own RPC, and it checks every coin and lets you trigger fee payouts on EVM chains from your wallet. Each coin lists the exact backup steps for its chain.Download
4. The command-line toolnpx tsx scripts/lifeboat.ts verify | distribute | lifeboat-solana. Runs on your machine with your own keys and RPC; the Solana backup claim can be sent from any wallet. It's published in LockPad's open repository once that's public.CLI

How creators get paid if LockPad stops

Base, Ethereum, BNB Chain and Robinhood Chain (Uniswap v4 + LockPad hook, the same contracts on every EVM chain): no waiting. The hook has no owner and no upgrade path. Anyone can call distribute(token) at any time; it pays the split fixed at launch: on a regular coin, 75% of the full 1.5% trading fee (1.125% of every trade) straight to the creator's wallet (reward coins work differently, see below). If a payout ever bounces, that wallet can pull it with withdrawOwed.

EVM reward coins: the hook's 75% payout share (1.125% of every trade) goes to the coin's reward splitter, not to the creator. Anyone can call release() on it, which sends the creator's 1/3 (25% of the fee, 0.375% of every trade) to the creator at once. The holders' 2/3 (50% of the fee, 0.75% of every trade) waits for LockPad's holders-pot wallet to collect it. If it isn't collected for 7 days, anyone can call lifeboatBuyAndBurn: the splitter buys the coin on its own pool with that money and burns it. Each buy can move the price by about 1% at most, buys are at least an hour apart, and the money can't go to any wallet.

Solana (Meteora): claiming Meteora creator fees needs a signature from whoever holds the pool's creator role, and Meteora has no time-out of its own. So a LockPad wallet holding that role would mean creators depend on LockPad. Instead, once the LockPad Lifeboat program is live, for coins launched with it, the role belongs to a program address that no person controls. LockPad's router claims through it and pays creators automatically. If it hasn't claimed for 7 days, anyone can trigger a claim that pays the creator's share straight to the payout wallet fixed at launch, and nowhere else. It arrives as wrapped SOL (wSOL), which any wallet can unwrap. For reward coins this pays only the creator's 1/3 (25% of the fee, about 0.3% of every trade). The holders' 2/3 stays in Meteora (or the program's own account after graduation) until LockPad is back; nobody can take it.

Limits, plainly: the Lifeboat program isn't deployed yet, so today Solana creator fees depend on LockPad's router. Solana coins launched before the Lifeboat program keep depending on LockPad's router for creator fees; the manifest marks each coin. The program has no admin and no upgrade key. The 7-day wait is fixed in the code.

The venues themselves (Meteora on Solana, Uniswap v4 on the EVM chains) are run by their own teams. Where a venue's program can be upgraded by its operator, the coin page and the manifest say so.

Drill log

A drill means switching off LockPad's servers on a test deployment and showing, with transaction links, that coins still trade and creators still get paid using only the kit above.

No drill has been run yet. The first one is planned before mainnet, and its results will be logged here, including anything that didn't work.
